Kirstine Schneider

Kirstine Schneider (b. 1993) has studied under Tove Detreköy and Gunnar Tagmose. In 2013, she studied in New York under Sylvia Rosenberg at the Manhattan School of Music and is now studying under Serguei Azizian at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. She has attended master classes with Nikolaj Znaider, Hilary Hahn, Benjamin Schmied and Gerhard Schultz. She has played with members of Juilliard String Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet, Brentano String Quartet and Emerson String Quartet, and she has performed at Thy Kammermusik Festival and Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival. In 2013, she was part of the New York String Orchestra with concerts at Carnegie Hall. She has several times performed as a soloist with orchestra and has received a large number of prizes and awards, including the Jacob Gade Talent Prize and the 1st prize in the scholarship competition of the Danish Royal Academy of Music.

Scholarship

The scholarship of DKK 60,000 is to be used for studies at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, for buying a Michel Jamonneau baroque bow and for studying Esa-Pekka Salonen's Violin Concerto with lessons with the composer.
